Topic: Research paper completion

Summary:
On June 13th, I began a research paper project with my mentor Ehan on Polygence. After deciding the topic to write the research paper on, my mentor and I swiftly began writing the research paper in hopes of completing a mini-project regarding computer vision later on. After 3 months of endless communication and cooperation with my mentor, I was able to write a research paper of high quality in which is currently registered in the preprint Research Archive of Rising Scholars (RARS) and has been sent to the peer-reviewed journal JSR (Journal of Student Research).

Final Outcome:
The title of the research paper is “Advanced Computer Vision and AI Techniques for Nano-Scale Quality Control in Manufacturing In the Space Industry.” I was particularly interested in nanotechnology as I believe that nanotech is the future of humanity and developing objects at a smaller scale is the way to overcome the technological boundaries that we currently have. Thus, the research paper focuses on managing a high level of quality control in the nanotechnology developed in the future. The paper illustrates a description of SEFMS (Scanning Electron and Fluorescent Microscopy System) which combines the SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and the fluorescent microscope to view objects at both a nano and a micro scale which would allow for a more precise and accurate quality control.
The paper also received an A- from the UCIXGATI cirriculum which is a program hosted by the University of California Irvine where students are allowed to submit their research papers for examination by a university professor/TA.
